What We Do
Welcome to Veneno Racing, where young kart drivers can learn the skills to race and acheive their goals in the fast and exciting sport of kart racing. The team focus on the development of Cadet drivers (aged 8-13) from absolute beginners, Novice racers and experienced drivers, primarily in Honda Cadet. We believe that karting should be fun as well as competitive and the smiles in the awning back this up.
The Veneno Team Principle is DBS Accredited.
Kart Race Team
The Veneno Team model is simple - Provide the facilities, support and instruction to help your driver develop and race.
Where some teams are all about the money and how big your engine is, we believe the focus should be on the driver and ensuring that they can achieve their own individual goals. We provide the support infrastructure on a race day to help you and your driver focus on the racing.
Race & Practice Day Services include:
- Race Awning with designated work area
- Electric & Air
- Pre-race driver track walk and instruction
- Kart set-up assistance
- On hand to provide guidance throughout the race day
Optional Services include (additional fees may apply):
- Mechanic, dedicated or shared
- Supply of Kart Tyres
- Race Engine Hire
- Kart Hire/Test Day - We will provide a MSA legal, race ready kart, just provide a driver and race
Driver Coaching
The most important aspect of racing is the driver. We focus on training and developing young racers to be fast, to be successful and to be safe. Just having the newest or most powerful doesn't guarentee success and we will work with any budget to ensure your driver maximises their talents and enjoyment on the circuit. We can offer a range of coaching from your 1st time in a kart, to gaining your race licence and supporting you through your 1st race to developing more experienced drivers using our long history of karting and kart racing.
No two drivers are the same and each have their own goals and objectives. We work with you and your driver to understand these and provide guidance and support to help you acheive them. Contact us to discuss your requirements and how we can help your driver acheive.
Parent Coaching & Guidence
While the main focus is the driver, its important that parents and their wider family understand the highs and lows of kart racing. Using our years of experience and access to parents that have "earned their stripes" in the paddock, Veneno also coach the parents to bring out their best. From guiding you through the kart setup, assisting in times of need to helping you when your driver seems to be ignoring you, we have experienced it all. A confident driver can only gain from a positive and supportive team behind them and thats what we will help you provide so that even on those tough, wet days, there will always be a positive to be taken.
Where will you find us
The Veneno Team are primarily based in the South of England and can be found at many tracks on both practice and race days. The team will be running drivers in Club Championships at CKC, Forest Edge and Clay Pigeon. In addition, team drivers will make appearences at other local tracks such as Bayford Meadows, Dunks and Buckmore Park.
Please come and say hello or contact us to find out where you can drive with us.
Testimonials and Feedback
A letter from Driver and Parent - a great endorsement of what can be acheived when you put your mind to it....

"We had a great start coming from proper training. Riley knew how to race before stepping into a full race speed Honda kart. All credit to Des' training at Thruxton. (Such a shame that this sort of training isn’t mandatory for all drivers, so many have no clue and carry on like that! Sorry end rant!) The facts speaks for themselves though:- First five Novice races at Clay pigeon starting in March 2012 read as follows March 3rd novice (no cup for that) then April 1st Novice, May 2nd Novice, June 1st Novice and July 2nd novice, which gave 4 trophies in the first 5 races against 10 novices who started at that time. Captured trophies at our first visit to Camberley with a 3rd in Feb 2013. Raced at Clay for 2013 and the NKRA. Best result at Clay 6th March 2013. NKRA southerns 5th and NKRA Grande finals 4th
Moved into Minimax at the end of the year ready for 2014,with a stint back with Veneno for a recharge! Came 3rd in the Clay turkey trot in our first Minimax race, which was the sign for wins and fastest laps throughout 2014."

"I joined the team for my last season in Cadets. It was a great atmosphere in the awning and we had fun all year as well as a great season. The F6 Championship was a great experience and I was very proud with my podiums, trophies, the F6 plate and F6 Open Championship. Des and the team helped me at the new tracks I raced to quickly get on the pace and mix it with the local lads."
