Lucas & Jamie @ CKC Practice Day

The team turned up in -2° and despite the sight of Rob and Danielle chucking salt on the generally icey track we dragged the karts out and crossed our fingers!

With Tom, Luke and Harry tucked up warm in bed, Lucas and Jamie braved the cold to start their new season with driver coaching and track time.

Jamie & Lucas are the newest arrivals and individually are very talented and able drivers, great additions to the team and with Lucas able to match Luke for chatter the atmospherics are being maintained into 2015. Both lads have plenty of experience in different ways but as this was Jamie's first CKC outing Lucas had no plans to be 2nd to his new team mate. Most of Jamie's driving has been done in the wet so he had other ideas and was quickly troubling one of the local Iames in the morning sessions. The boys are responding well to 1st stage training, despite some initial setup discrepancies Lucas was showing well and as the youngest Honda on the team by 2 years is sure to be a name to watch as we progress. Lucas has also started to realise the potential of the "dummy grid" practices by the team and was focusing well and providing great mechanical feedback and understanding - a crucial part of a winning drivers armoury.
