James @ CKC - Training Report
James has been coming on in leaps and bounds in recent weeks, his new-found vigour for overtaking and racing has left many of his team mates full of admiration and its well-deserved, James has been racing since the mid part of 2015 but has always lacked that little bit of tenacity needed to get stuck in.
It is fair to say that James has found himself now, he is keen to race on any part of the track that will have him and the ‘block’ that he experienced regarding kerbs has vanished completely, his only real opponent on arrival was the number 71(Juan) who qualified in 2nd at the first round timed session and we were keen to get James on his case, with Holly hot ton his tail getting the lines James was able to match any pace provided but unable to display it following a tech hitch and a couple of spins, once they were dealt with his overtaking prowess came into its own, being kept on his toes by his team mate under his rear bumper James took his karting to the next level on several occasions through the day and I am confident enough to state on here that this lad should see a top three before the winters close.
A strong day with only a few bits to tidy up but a great day and James displayed he can work with another kart when needed, certainly in the latter sessions he proved very clearly by catching Juan from nearly ½ a lap down that he can mix it with far more experienced racers and is very happy to do so, best lap times were competitive and like Holly he is looking forward to getting back into the office very soon.
Well done James, the best session to date by a long way and great work with Holly, you showed you were happy to help at the right time…keep your eyes out for ‘feisty’ teammates testing bigger cogs!
