Tom & Harry @ CKC Winter Champs Rd4
Tom and Harry arrived at CKC to a cold, windy and damp track providing the usual setup dilemmas associated with the unique quarry style setting at the Surrey circuit.
Track walks done the lads were confident in the day ahead although with Tom moving away from the local tracks now this was going to be an engine test day as had been planned during the week, as much as we wanted a result the priority was always about the summer season and getting the balance right.
Harry of course has rapidly been getting stronger and with his increased commitment in 2015 is going to be moving up the field, with his F6 series to play with as well we are sure to see Harry’s name, this was his last meeting on his novice plates as well
The heats saw both lads driving well with Tom placing in the top 5 in both and Harry leading the novice charge, often challenging the more experienced lads but suffering some “grip” issues Harry was certainly getting back into the “groove”.
The final saw Tom come in 5th and Harry a very classy 7th which is now his best finish at MSA level.
On the whole a good day but marred by intermittent showers, Tom certainly was top 3 but with the setup changes prior to the final was hampered and unable to compete in his usual position sadly.
Driver of the Weekend
#22 - Harry Arthur
Continued effort now and the related progression at his local circuit, and simply for carrying the biggest grin at Camberley – a great job Harry, onward and upward.
