Jamie @ Clay Rd 2 - Novice Trophy Winner!

Jamie arrived at Clay this weekend looking to build on his previous results and hopefullty secure another novice victory in a large grid. On Saturday, Jamie and Des concentrated on his race lines and saw an improvement in his lap times. The good weather of the weekend helped provide some consistent conditions in which to test and develop.

On Sunday race day, Jamie put in a raft of solid performances and had good battles with the karts around him. His results in the heats showed his consistency with 18th, 17th, 18th to line up ahead of some more experienced drivers in the final. He didn't have his best performance in the final but still finished a strong 24th overall and picked up the top Novice trophy to add some more silverware to his collection!

He was a little disappointed at the end of the day despite his trophy but TP Des commented on his overall progress throughout the weekend.

"Jamie is showing good driving skills and decent pace. As a novice he sometimes makes minor mistakes which can frustrate him, but looking at the overall picture he's doing very well. We'll be building on these performances and watching Jamie move up the grid in the coming months."
