CKC Training Track

The CKC work party turned out on Sunday morning to prepare the new dedicated training track at CKC. This new area will be used as the base for all Stage 1 Bambino and Cadet training to allow new drivers to learn the basics of kart control and track etiquitte before going out on the main race track.

This area has recently had new tarmac laid to provide a good smooth driving surface and the work party set about the task of collecting and moving hundreds of Formula Ford race tyres to create the boundaries of the new track. Once laid, the hard task of drilling and bolting all the tyres together started. This took the work party many hours of hard work but at the end of the day, the new track layout is now clear to see and the team look forward to testing it and getting the first training sessions going.
