Ethan in a Lambo @ Llandow

After retiring from Cadet karting at the end of last season, Ethan has been looking for his next petrol fix. Today we pushed the boundaries of the bank of mum & dad as we visited a very sunny LlandowRace Circuit to play with some super cars.

The Carlimits team are one of the few operators in the UK who let under 18's drive a supercar on a race track so after a drivers briefing where Ethan was picked out as being the youngest driver we were given our instructions and led out to the paddock to await our turns in the cars.

Ethan was the 1st one out so with 40 other drivers watching he calmly jumped into the drivers seat of the electric blue Lamborghini Gallardo and promptly disappeared! A quick adjustment with the help of a cushion so that he could see over the steering wheel and he was off - much to the shock of some of the spectators. He was followed out onto the track by a 15yr old in a White Lambo Roadster.

We'd neglected to mention Ethan's race licence and no one asked, so after a sighting lap to get used to the car and track, Ethan quickly built his confidence and speed. He surprised a few spectators as he flashed past on the straight and whipped round the bus stop to start lap 2. Each lap he got quicker and quicker and we could see he had his sights set on catching the other lad in the roadster. We were a little shocked that he managed to lap the other lad twice in the space of 3 laps, busting the track speed limit of 70mph by topping out on the main straight at just over 90mph.

Dad also got a few laps in the White Gallardo Roadster and we all had a great day in Wales.

Ethan is now on autotrader seeing how much a Lambo would cost for his first car......
