Zach @ Whilton Mill

Zach has been testing well at Whilton as of late and we were looking forward to a warm sunny day near Daventry to see how he was getting on, his “nemesis” to date has been turns 1 and 2 and the approach to the “Boot”, after a swift trackwalk we went off for a tidy practice session and after a few tweaks let him loose on heat 1.

Zach put in some great effort and raced well with the novices bar one behind him, his lines still needed work but it was obvious he was applying himself, H2 saw much of the same, it was quite clear that he was clean through much of the circuit but still had to overcome the nerves at Turn 2, he was getting quicker and racing with the group so all good.

H3 saw a great start and then we watched as he got driven over on the exit of “Christmas” the subsequent red flag saw Zach sat in the ambulance not entirely sure where the flying Honda’s had arrived from but he was ok, a little sore but willing to go to the final.

The Final saw his best and most consistent times and a drive to make us all proud, finishing 21st out of 32 we had made places and gained our new fastest lap, still some way to go but in 2016 Zach is going to be racing in the pack and will hold his own without any doubts.
