Sam, Jaydan and Henry @ Shennington

The last time we reported on Shenny it had been a difficult round, hard work and little forward progress, the promise to return and make the difference was kept and the hard work away from the track with Jaydan testing the new plan moved everyone forward, the Saturday test proved the lads were determined with PB’s coming from all angles, in particular Jaydan finally made everyone sit up and notice. With two dry days at the Oxfordshire circuit the consistent weather proved to be important as we pushed on with new vigour, also accommodating Will Attreed the boys were all having a great time together, certainly it was a promising start to the weekend.

Results:

Sam H1 9th, H2 DNF, H3 8th Jaydan H1 17th, H2 24th, 10th Henry H2 21st, H2 14th, H3 16th

With a coming together in H2 Sam had his grid in the final compromised, the results however were there and the progress was showing, Jaydan had woken up through the day and was now going racing, Henry back from a time away was beginning to settle in and getting quicker.

Final:

Sam 13th, Jaydan 18th, Henry 17th

A busy final hindered by a little over determination by some, the results reflect the efforts by the boys and the results whilst not as good as we would wish show that next month the lads will be right there looking for the 51’s.

One disappointment from Shenny is the fact that people are still willing to express themselves strongly in front of the youngsters, not just ours either, having drivers upset by overly loud parents with an unfounded opinion is no longer going to be tolerated by the team, see the clerks and complain if you feel its justified but the level of language being used in a threatening manner at times is going to be dealt with properly as has been done before, this is not just about the drivers from our team but the overall demise of self-control around young drivers, its time everyone started to speak out so it can be dealt with….simple.
